As a user of consumer reports, you are required to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including but not limited to: obtaining proper authorization from applicants before requesting reports, using consumer report information only for permissible purposes, providing adverse action notices when required, and following proper dispute resolution procedures. TenantFort provides tools to assist with these obligations, but ultimate compliance responsibility rests with you as the end user.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Applicant screening data is retained in accordance with FCRA requirements and applicable state laws. You may request deletion of specific applicant data through the dashboard. Upon account closure, we securely delete or anonymize your data after any legally required retention period, which is typically 5 years for FCRA-related records.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
